Prof. Millie Pant

Professor, Applied Mathematics and Scientific computing · Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee

Prof. Millie Pant leads the Soft Computing Lab at IIT Roorkee. Her research interests lie in AI, Machine Learning, Deep learning, numerical optimization, evolutionary algorithms and swarm intelligence techniques — with applications spanning engineering design, image processing, healthcare analytics, supply chain management and multi-criteria decision making.

She has supervised a large body of doctoral and postdoctoral research, co-edited numerous Springer proceedings volumes in the SocProS and Soft Computing: Theories and Applications series, and collaborates widely with researchers across India, Europe and Asia.
